How can I get furniture from The Chicago Furniture Bank?
We want to help as many people in need as we can, however only people who have been taken on as clients by one of our nonprofit partners are able to receive furniture from us. This is to ensure clients are vetted and receiving other critical supportive services.
How can I get in touch with your nonprofit partners?
We have a consistently updated database of all of our 400+ nonprofit partners right here on our website! Feel free to use this page as a resource and when you find an agency that seems like a good fit, be sure to contact them directly either through their linked website or a phone number.
Please note that you must contact the agency directly, as we cannot help you get in touch with them.
Is there any way to get an appointment directly with the CFB?
Sadly, there is not. We simply must require all in need of our services to first begin receiving assistance from one of our nonprofit partners. We do not control our nonprofit partner's eligibility requirements for assistance, but we have partnered with as many reliable nonprofits as possible to ensure you have the best chance of being able to receive the support you need.
Can I just come see the furniture?
Sadly, we are not open to the public and can only see clients with an appointment scheduled by a case worker.
Okay, I've connected with one of your nonprofit partners. Now what?
Great! Now, your new caseworker will get in touch with you regarding your appointment, the procedures to follow, and what information you may need to share or bring to the appointment. Hope to see you soon!
Please note that your caseworker, not you, is responsible for scheduling an appointment with the Chicago Furniture Bank. Any necessary information you require will be passed along to you by your caseworker, and we do not take direct requests for furniture from individuals.
